A healthy young pink pear guava fruit plant (Psidium guajava) is a native of South America, and I have raised these from seed.

Whilst this plant is tough, easy to grow, and self-fertile, it is a tropical plant that is not hardy, should be grown in a heated greenhouse or conservatory, and can spend summers outside on the patio, etc.

It is a stunning-looking plant and a perfect addition to any home garden. With the varieties of Psidium Guajava, you can enjoy delicious, nutrient-rich fruit packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Grow your tropical fruit and reap the benefits of this unique and exotic plant.

Their deciduous (in the UK) foliage is attractive. Like a bird of paradise, its flamboyant sorbet pink and ice-white blooms will create an exotic display from late spring to early summer. They can endure lowish but not freezing temperatures, complaining by dropping their leaves but usually recovering.

Guavas' main attraction is their excellent fragrance fruit, and the stunning plant yields delicious, tropical-tasting green egg-shaped fruits with succulent flesh in autumn.

Guavas grow and crop fairly quickly from the 3rd year.

Bushes are evergreen, giving year-round interest. They are hardy down to at least -5°C and, when mature, reach a height and spread of 1.8 m (6 ft).

It is delivered as a young plant in a 1-2L pot.
