The Plant
The plant in the image is a young Ficus religiosa, commonly known as the Sacred Fig, Bodhi Tree, or Peepal Tree.
It is native to the Indian subcontinent and Indochina and holds significant religious importance in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism.
The tree is known for its heart-shaped leaves with distinctive, long, tapering tips and can grow into a large, spreading tree in its natural habitat. It is believed that Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment while meditating under a Ficus religiosa tree.
While it can be grown in containers, it's typically a large tree in its natural environment, reaching heights of up to 60-100 feet (18-30 meters).
You will receive one plant in a 15cm root control pot.
Plant size and leaves will vary.
